Daniel Eceizabarrena, interviewed in El Correo

• The BCAM PhD student has obtained the first place in mathematics in these awards given to students who have completed a university degree with excellence

BCAM doctoral student Daniel Eceizabarrena recently won one of the 9 first prizes in the science branch of the last call for the National End-of-Career Awards, the most prestigious official awards given annually by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to those students who have completed their university studies with excellence.

In fact, ten of the winners of these prizes have come out of the University of the Basque Country. Now, the Basque newspaper El Correo has interviewed Daniel regarding his achievement:

Daniel joined BCAM in September 2016 as a PhD student within BCAM’s research group in Linear and Non-Linear Waves, after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of the Basque Country (2015) and a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Applications (2016) from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is currently preparing his doctoral thesis, supported by a Spain’s Ministry of Education FPU grant in the 2015 call (grant no. FPU15/03078), on the interaction between the Talbot effect and the Riemann’s non-differentiable function under the supervision of Professor Luis Vega.
