I am a natural scientist with a diverse background ranging from Inorganic and Quantum Chemistry to Host-Microbe interactions and Systems Genomics, always with a strong mathematical/statistical component -- especially dynamic nonlinear (e.g. ODE and discrete-time stochastic) models and Bayesian inference.

I believe understanding any system requires a useful description of its mechanisms; therefore,  I am interested in using nonparametric statistical approaches on experimental (and if not available, observational) data to extract relevant patterns and construct mathematical models that realistically describe natural processes.
