Hamed Fathnejat holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from Yazd University in Iran. He graduated with a B.Sc. in civil engineering from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in 2012 and went on to earn an M.Sc. in structural engineering from the Kerman Graduate University of Advanced Technology in 2014, where he was awarded a "Talented Student" qualification and ranked 1st in his M.Sc. program. He has worked in the field of structural health monitoring (SHM) and also structural damage detection (SDD), and has applied advanced artificial intelligence methods in these fields. His work in this area has resulted in several published papers and presentations, including his Ph.D. thesis, "Damage detection of skeletal structures using deep learning-based feature extraction methods". Recently, he joined the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics in Bilbao, Spain, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He is dedicated to advancing the field of SHM for wind turbines and continues to conduct research in this area.
