Abstract
Morse Homology is a homology theory defined for smooth manifolds. It is constructed using a Morse-Smale function with respect to a metric (although the resulting homology does not depend neither on the metric nor on the function). Morse homology is in fact isomorphic to singular homology, and it is a model for the construction of Floer Homology.
In this lecture we will briefly describe the construction of Morse Homology, and if time allows, some of its consequences.
