Convinced that finding more efficient ways to carry out interdisciplinary work
between the life science researchers with the scientists in mathematics can provide
new strategies to comprehend crucial questions about life and improved
understanding and treatment of disease, the CIC bioGUNE (Center for Cooperative
Research in Biosciences, www.cicbiogune.es) and the BCAM (Basque Center for
Applied Mathematics, www.bcamath.org) have organized a joint workshop where
scientists from both centers will present their work.
