P-splines Meeting 2019

AIM:
The aim of the meeting to present recent advances in smoothing methods using a common framework such as penalized splines (P-splines). The main core of the participants have been collaborating during the last 10 years in complex statistical problems in different fields such as mortality, demography, environmental modeling, biostatistics, Bayesian modeling and computational statistical methods.

MAIN TOPICS:
The main topics for discussion will be:

- Recent advances in spatial and spatio-temporal modeling.
- New computationally efficient multidimensional smoothing.
- Forecasting methods using P-splines.
- New challenges in flexible regression with application in bio-medicine.
- Bayesian methods.
- New open challenges in complex data.
