BCAM and UPV/EHU will host the 35th International Workshop on Statistical Modelling

• The event will take place in Bilbao in July 2020 and will gather a wide international community of Applied Statisticians and Data Modellers from several disciplines

The Executive Committee of the Statistical Modelling Society has selected Bilbao to host the 35th Edition of the International Workshop on Statistical Modelling. The workshop will take place from 20 to 24 July 2020 and will be organised by the Applied Statistics group at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics - BCAM and the Departments of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research and of Applied Economics III (Econometrics and Statistics) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). The event, that will take place at Bizkaia Aretoa, will gather in Bilbao a broad international community of Applied Statisticians and Data Modellers from several disciplines. ,

The International Workshop on Statistical Modelling (IWSM), is the key activity of the Statistical Modelling Society, founded in June 2003 with the purpose of promoting and encouraging statistical modelling in its widest sense. The IWSM workshop is organised annually since 1986 and it addresses people working in academia but also individuals outside research who solve applied problems based on data.
