Irma Pallarés will defend her doctoral thesis on Wednesday, June 2nd

Due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the defense will be held online and users will be able to follow it live

Irma Pallarés received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Valencia in 2014 and in 2015 she obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematical Research at Polytechnic University of Valencia.

She joined the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics - BCAM as a PhD student in 2017 within Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry research line.

Her PhD thesis, Some contributions to the theory of singularities and their characteristic classes, has been supervised by Javier Fernández de Bobadilla (BCAM-Ikerbasque) and Juan José Nuño Ballesteros (UV)
