J.A. Lozano, interviewed in Empresa XXI

• The Scientific Director of the center talked about the main Artificial Intelligence and Data Science projects at the center

Jose Antonio Lozano, the Scientific Director of BCAM and the leader of the center’s research line in Machine Learning, was interviewed by the Basque newspaper Estrategia XXI in September.  In the interview, he talked about the main projects of the center and the boost of the areas of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence within the center. He also stressed how important mathematics is for the development of this disciplines: "It must be taken into account that artificial intelligence falls on two pillars: mathematics and computing. Without one of the two, it cannot exist."
