Leire Citores will defend her doctoral thesis on Thursday, July 15th
Due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the defense will be held online and users will be able to follow it live
Leire Citores received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Basque Country in 2012 and in 2014 she obtained a Master’s degree in Statistics and Operations Research from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
In 2015 she joined the sustainable fisheries management area of AZTI and in 2016 she started her PhD in that area within the Mathematics and Statistics programme of the UPV/EHU in collaboration with the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics - BCAM where she did an internship as a PhD student within the Applied Statistics research line.
Her doctoral thesis, From habitat to management: a simulation framework for improving statistical methods in fisheries science, has been supervised by Leire Ibaibarriaga (AZTI) and Dae-Jin Lee (BCAM).
