María Xosé Rodriguez (Coté) and Daniel Eceizabarrena participate at the BCAM- NAUKAS event on Pi Day
On March 14th the BCAM-NAUKAS event was held in the Bizkaia Aretoa of UPV/EHU on the occasion of Pi Day. The day featured several mathematics workshops for students during the morning, and a series of short lectures for the general public in the afternoon. Two BCAM researchers, María Xosé Rodriguez (Coté) and Daniel Eceizabarrena participated in these talks, which aimed to bring mathematics closer to the public in a dynamic and entertaining way. Rodriguez focused her speech on the use of statistics in the diagnosis of diseases, an area in which he works in BCAM’s Applied Statistics research line:
