The Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, calls for practical cases in artificial and generative intelligence for its upcoming Global Innovation Day
- The call, made in collaboration with the Basque Centre for Artificial Intelligence (BAIC), the Basque Innovation Agency (Innobasque), and the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM), is aimed at all organisations in the Basque Country: SMEs, large companies, technology centres, research or educational institutions, public entities, and associations.
- The deadline for submission of applications will remain open until 15 July.
- The selected cases will participate in the thirteenth edition of the Global Innovation Day to be held in November, a landmark event for promoting and positioning the Basque Country as a high-innovation region that annually brings together companies and key players in the Basque innovation ecosystem.
BCAM, the Basque Centre for Artificial Intelligence (BAIC), and the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, are seeking the best practical cases carried out in the Basque Country to, through their example, promote innovation as a fundamental process to improve the competitiveness and progress of Basque organisations.
The call, made in collaboration with the Basque Centre for Artificial Intelligence (BAIC) and the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM), focuses this time on the development of innovative solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), given their high impact and transformative potential in the competencies and capabilities of organisations and companies.
Among the submitted applications, the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, will select the most representative cases to be part of the panel of speakers at the Global Innovation Day, an annual event that will celebrate its thirteenth edition in November. This professional forum organised by Innobasque has established itself as a benchmark for innovation dissemination and the positioning of the Basque Country as a high-innovation region, bringing together each year the key players in the Basque innovation ecosystem.
Open to all sectors
Any organisation from any sector, size, or legal nature can participate in the call: from multinationals to SMEs, including associations, scientific-technological agents, educational centres, public institutions, or entities of social interest.
The practical cases must have been developed since 2021 and must clearly demonstrate how the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) has led to the development of innovations that improve the competitiveness of organisations. This proposal is open to the presentation of cases developed for a wide range of areas and organisational processes, from strategy definition to operations and project management to customer relations.
The evaluation criteria for selecting the most inspiring proposals will be based, firstly, on the content and management of the implemented innovations. Factors such as their strategic nature, level of originality, the degree of participation or collaboration with other organisations for their implementation, their incorporation into the day-to-day operations of the organisation, and the environmental, economic, and social sustainability considerations taken into account in their development will be considered. Furthermore, criteria such as effectiveness, efficiency, degree of impact, replicability and transferability, and third-party recognition will also be evaluated, along with the quality of the data used, the participation or generation of shared data spaces, the ethical values applied from the design stage, or the specification of the technologies used in the application of artificial intelligence.
All cases that meet the criteria specified in the call's guidelines will be incorporated into Innobasque's Practical Innovation Case Bank and may be selected to participate in other dissemination activities organised by the Basque Innovation Agency and/or be disseminated in other forums or communications.
This is the fifth call for Practical Cases organised by Innobasque, which managed to gather more than 300 innovative initiatives in the previous four editions.
Organisations interested in presenting their proposals through this call should submit their case (more than one can be submitted) before 15 July. All information about this call is available here.
