The fourth edition of Batera, BCAM's mentoring program, will start in march with 16 participants
- The main objective of BATERA, BCAM's Mentoring Program, is to support young researchers in their reflection on career goals, skills, and professional options.
- The program will run from March to June.
BCAM will launch the fourth edition of Batera, its mentoring program, on March 1st.
For three months, until June 2024, four pairs consisting of mentor and mentee will be able to enjoy this initiative, which focuses on supporting young researchers in various reflections that may arise around their career goals, skills, and options for professional development.
Batera seeks to build an intergenerational network of professionals (mentors) who, with an interest in supporting early-stage researchers (mentees), help and advise them on how to advance in their careers, promoting synergies, cooperation, and mutual enrichment among researchers at different stages of their careers, thus fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences. All this through open and continuous dialogue. Through this initiative, tools are developed to know how to face different situations or exchange points of view that will help cope with the day-to-day of research.
BCAM launched this program in 2022 and since then 34 people have been able to participate in it.
