National Project
Objective:
The Spanish Network of Algebraic Geometry and Singularities (RGAS) is a thematic network that has been operating continuously since 2015. It is made up of 13 national nodes. Besides, as a novelty, the network brings together Spanish researchers who work in foreign institutions through an international node. RGAS objectives are (1) Promote exchange between nodes, (2) Facilitate and promote training activities, (3) Promote scientific communication and collaboration with international research groups. The Network has a Scientific Committee made up of the coordinatorof the network, the PI of each node and the international coordinator. This committee will be in charge of programming the network's activities and making the necessary decisions. The scientific committee periodically evaluates the situation of the network and identifies strategic research topics to cover in the programmed activities. On this occasion, Mirror Symmetry, Perfectoids and condensed mathematics and Post-quantum cryptography have been chosen. The activities, will continue to cover the broad scientific spectrum of the Network, but will pay special attention to selected aspects. The international node, included in RGAS for the first time in this call, will undoubtedly contribute greatly to the expansion of the scientific horizons of the members of the Network, to their international presence and relevance, and to our ability to attract foreign talent. The network's objectives are achieved through a complete program of activities that include (1) RGAS Annual Congresses. (2) Activities aimed at young participants. (3) Coordination activities between nodes. (4) International summer schools on strategically chosen topics to increase the thematic spectrum of the network. (5) Bilateral meetings with other networks. (6) Distinguished Guest Program. (6) Semesters and other conferences. (7) Transversal activities. The expected impact of the network is: (a) generate thematic synergies, (b) give rise to activities training sessions of greater magnitude than those that a research group usually organizes, (c) generate a global vision of our topic, (d) dynamize the community, (e) contribute to the optimization of research resources, (f) maintain our community up to date with the different research developments at the international level, (g) generate synergies with international groups and increase the international impact of our research.
