BCAM and EJE&CON renew their commitment to promote gender equality and interest in STEM careers

  • This agreement strengthens their joint commitment to promoting gender equality and encouraging scientific and technological vocations among women.

On December 4, BCAM and the Spanish Association of Executives and Board Members, EJE&CON, signed the renewal of their collaboration agreement, reinforcing their shared dedication to advancing gender equality and fostering scientific and technological vocations among women.

Strengthening a Strategic Alliance

This agreement updates and expands upon the original collaboration signed in 2017, which has been renewed annually ever since. In this new phase, both entities commit to continuing the development of projects and initiatives aimed at:

  • Promoting women's access to senior management positions and boards of directors in both public and private entities.
  • Encouraging women’s interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers, which are key areas for scientific and technological development.

A Collaboration with Impact

The agreement also includes the creation of a Joint Monitoring Commission, composed of representatives from both organizations, responsible for coordinating joint actions, assessing progress, and proposing new initiatives. Lorea Gómez, BCAM's General Manager, will be part of this Monitoring Commission.

In addition, both parties emphasize the importance of raising awareness of the projects developed under this collaboration framework.

Synergy in Favor of Equality

BCAM and EJE&CON, as non-profit organizations, reaffirm their commitment to implementing actions that not only enhance female leadership but also contribute to building a more equitable society and recognizing talent regardless of gender.

This renewal represents another step toward achieving equal opportunities and creating environments where women can reach their full potential in academic, scientific, and professional fields.

Notable Initiatives

Among the initiatives jointly promoted by both entities is the #steMatEsElla program. This initiative supports and promotes the scientific and professional careers of women pursuing STEM-related undergraduate or master's degrees (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), as well as related disciplines.
