BCAM successfully passes the first Internal Review of the HR Excellence in Research Award

  • Assessors from the European Commission have concluded that the implementation of the Action Plan at the center is progressing appropriately

BCAM received the HR Excellence in Research Award in 2016. This recognition by the European Commission identifies the universities and institutions that generate and support the existence of a stimulating and favourable environment for research work by adapting their human resources policies to the 40 principles of the European Charter & Code for Researchers.

To date, 479 organisations have received this award in Europe and 56 in Spain. After the award is granted participating organisations must document progress and quality of the actions and accompanying measures implemented, and we are glad to announce that BCAM successfully passed its first Internal Review.

Assessors from the European Commission have concluded that the implementation of the Action Plan at the center is “ensured in a robust and systematic way”. Keeping the award will require an internal review of the center’s HR strategy by external international experts in three years’ time, but the positive outcome of this first evaluation is certainly a step in the right direction and encourages us to continue working and further implement the principles of the Charter & Code principles.
