Onintze Zaballa talks about the use of machine learning in the fight against COVID-19 on Bizkaia Irratia
Onintze Zaballa is a PhD student within BCAM's research line in Machine Learning who is currently participating in a project related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, she is working in a Machine Learning approach for the prediction of hospitalizations and intensive care unit admissions, under the supervision of Jose Antonio Lozano.
Yesterday she participated in the program "Lau Haizetara" of Bizkaia Irratia where she spoke about the collaboration of BCAM, UPV-EHU and Ikerbasque with the Department of Health of the Basque Government to develop simulations of the dynamics of the pandemic of COVID-19 and the specific project she is working on.
